In Soulbound, combat is versatile and customizable, allowing you to tailor your playstyle through different casting modes. Whether you prefer a fully automated approach or more manual control, Soulbound offers three distinct combat modes: AutoAim, AutoCast, and ManualCast. Here’s a breakdown of how each mode works and how you can switch between them.

Casting Modes

You can press " shift+ (click/1/2/3) " to toggle auto aim.

1. AutoAim (Default Mode)

What It Does: AutoAim is the default combat mode when you first start playing. In this mode, the game automatically targets the nearest enemy mob and attacks whenever your abilities’ cooldowns are ready.

How It Works: This mode is ideal for players who prefer a hands-off approach to combat, focusing more on positioning and movement while the game handles aiming and attacking.

2. AutoCast

What It Does: AutoCast allows for semi-automated combat. You aim your attacks manually using your mouse cursor, but the game automatically triggers your abilities as soon as their cooldowns are finished.

How It Works: This mode is perfect for players who want more control over their targeting but still prefer the convenience of automatic attacks. It strikes a balance between manual precision and automated efficiency.

3. ManualCast

What It Does: ManualCast offers full control over both aiming and attacking. You aim with your mouse and manually trigger each attack by clicking or pressing a key.

How It Works: This mode is for players who want complete control over their combat actions, making it possible to time your attacks precisely and choose your targets with care.

How to Change the Casting Mode

Customizing your combat experience in Soulbound is simple. You can change the casting mode for each individual ability on your ability bar, allowing for a high degree of flexibility in how you approach combat.

Step 1: Hover your ability bar where your attacks and skills are displayed.

Step 2: Hover on the ability you want to customize. This will display the cast type.

Step 3: Shift + Click to choose between AutoAim, AutoCast, or ManualCast depending on your preferred level of control for that specific ability.
You can also hit shift + keybind to toggle the cast type.

Step 4: Repeat this process for each ability if you want different casting modes across your skills.

Summary

Soulbound’s casting modes—AutoAim, AutoCast, and ManualCast—offer players the flexibility to engage in combat in the way that best suits their style. Whether you want the game to handle everything or prefer full control, you can easily set up and manage these modes to create a smooth and enjoyable combat experience. Simply click on each ability in the ability bar to customize your settings, and you’re ready to go!
